Jovo Stanojevic to play in Kuwait

Jovo Stanojevic is moving to a hotter climate!


According to his agent's website, Jovo Stanojevic(2.07-C) has agreed to play in Kuwait for Al Kuwait. The Serbian veteran played for Kepez Antalya in Turkey averaging 17.2 points 6.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 29 games in TBL. This is actually his 2nd appearance in Turkey, the first one was with Besiktas but it was shortlived due to the financial problems of the team.

He spent five seasons with Alba Berlin, during which he won one German League championships, two German Cups and was named to the all-star team three times. He has also played for Vojvodina Novi Sad, Red Star Belgrade and Partizan Belgrade in his native Serbia, as well as for Maccabi Ironi Ra'anana in Israel, Prokom in Poland and BC Kyiv in Ukraine. As a member of the Yugoslavian national team, Stanojevic won the bronze medal at the 1999 European Championship.
